Passion & Glory

Praying with passion isn't about words, or years in church, or even theological understanding. It's praying for God's glory--seeking His face before His hand. All prayer leads us to God. Hallowed be His name!

Scripture: John 17:20, Luke 6:12-13, Luke 9:28-29, Luke 9:32, John 17:1-3, John 17:9-10, John 17:15, Exodus 40:34, Matthew 26:39, Luke 23:34, Luke 23:43

From Series: "Teach Us to Pray"

Eugene Peterson writes, “a life of prayer is the connective tissue between holy day proclamation and weekday discipleship.” Prayer is the glue between the times we are FILLED UP and those when we're POURED OUT. Jesus’ invitation to come--to follow--is an invitation to know Him. We learn about others by talking, sharing, and listening. “Teach Us to Pray” is two-way conversation about prayer…about knowing God. Our talks will include the “what” and the “why” of prayer, the importance of intercession, and how to talk with God and not just at Him. During this series you are also invited to join us in 30 days of prayer and fasting…intentionally creating capacity for us to know God more!
