Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, grace-filled, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurts, hang-ups, or habits of any kind. We were not created to face our pain alone! CR at The Well provides a safe space for all of us to get honest about our personal struggles and the negative ways we see ourselves, God, and others as we seek long-lasting healing, healthy truths, and life-giving freedom!
what are hurts, hang-ups, and habits?
A hurt, hang-up, or habit can be anything that keeps you from realizing your full potential as a person. This separates you from God’s plan and sends you on a detour headed toward destruction and despair.

Hurts
A “hurt” is classified as any life experience that may have damaged your heart, or as an offense against you that crippled your ability to deal with the world in a healthy way. Hurts often twist your view of yourself, God, and/or others. Some common hurts include:
ABANDONMENT • ABORTION
ABUSE • ADOPTION
AFFAIRS • ALCOHOLISM
BETRAYAL • CHEATING
DIVORCE • DRUG ABUSE
FAMILY DYSFUNCTION
NEGLECT • RAPE
REJECTION • UNFORGIVENESS

Hang-ups
Hang-ups are the road blocks that keep you from progressing further in God’s plan for your life. They’re often shaped by something you were taught or believed as a child, or an unhealthy attitude you may have adopted as a means of coping with life’s challenges. Here are some common hang-ups:
ANGER • ANXIETY
BODY IMAGE • BULLYING
CODEPENDENCY • CONTROL
DEPRESSION • ENVY • FEAR
GUILT/SHAME • LAZINESS
MATERIALISM • PRIDE
PERFECTIONISM
PROCRASTINATION

Habits
Habits tend to be unhealthy patterns that often start as a perceived “remedy” for a problem in your life, but turn into a chronic bad behavior or addiction. Habits are the repeat, default scripts you run to “when the going gets tough” and lead to trouble in your life. Some common habits are:
ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR • ALCOHOL
BITTERNESS • DRUGS
DISORDERED EATING • GAMBLING
GOSSIP • ISOLATION • LYING
PORNOGRAPHY
SPENDING PROBLEMS
SELF-HARM • SEXUAL INTEGRITY
WORKAHOLISM

Seasons of Change
Have you ever had a season in life change unexpectedly or before you felt ready? As October’s leaves transform, they remind us that our own seasons can hold both anticipation and uncertainty. Even welcome changes can stir anxiety and leave us wondering what comes next. In the Bible, Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us there is a season for everything while Psalm 34:18 assures us God always is near. Whatever you’re carrying, you can bring Him your honest feelings.

Seasons of Change
Key Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 3:1; Psalm 34:18
Have you ever had a season in life change unexpectedly or before you felt ready?
As October’s leaves transform, they remind us that our own seasons can hold both anticipation and uncertainty. Even welcome changes can stir anxiety and leave us wondering what comes next.
In the Bible, Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us there is a season for everything while Psalm 34:18 assures us God always is near. Whatever you’re carrying, you can bring Him your honest feelings.
When change feels overwhelming, try this:
Hit pause and ask yourself:
🍁 What has changed? Name it.
🍁 What am I feeling? Own it.
🍁 What is one next step? Pray about it.
That next step might be asking someone you trust, like your sponsor, to pray with you. It could be sharing in your small group or step study. It may be meeting with the CR Mental Health Coach or a counselor. Asking for help is courageous. Prayer, community, and professional care can work alongside one another to support you.
If you’re having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, seek help right away. At CR, tell me or Pastor Josh immediately. Call or text 988 for crisis support; call 911 if there is impending danger.
You don’t have to solve a whole season today. Take one step, then the next—with Jesus beside you and caring people from your Celebrate Recovery forever family all around you. You do not have to face it alone.
CR is for Kids, too…
CR for Kids is a “precovery” children’s ministry within Celebrate Recovery that helps kids (ages newborn thru 6th grade) navigate life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits while learned about God’s love through teaching, discussion, hands-on crafts, interactive games, and creative activities!
While parents find hope and healing at Celebrate Recovery, kids are discovering the same truths in a way that’s tailored specifically for them, along with healthy ways to face challenges, make wise choices, and grow in their faith. No matter their story, every child is welcome, valued, loved, supported, and encouraged!
…AND Students!
Life as a teenager can sometimes feel like standing on the edge of a massive drop. Between school, relationships, anxiety, and personal struggles, it’s easy to feel trapped on the wrong side of a painful season.
CR for Students is a safe, confidential environment designed specifically for middle and high school students to address their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Think of it as a bridge: a sturdy, reliable way forward when the path ahead feels impassable. You don’t have to stay stuck where you are… and you don’t have to cross alone!
PLEASE NOTE: While many attend these auxiliary ministries because a parent or caregiver participates in Celebrate Recovery, involvement in the adult program is not required for a child or student to benefit from CR for Kids or CR for Students!
Secure Check-in opens at 6:15pm.
Check-out is available at 7:30pm (after the adult large group gathering) or 8:15pm (after adult Open Share).
Ready for real change?
If you’re ready to move beyond surface-level recovery and experience real, lasting change, then Step Studies are for you! These groups are gender-specific, mixed-issue, and take place weekly in a safe, confidential environment. Different from our Open Share groups, Step Studies are focused, intentional, and life-changing!
Healing happens in community.
Step Studies typically last 9-12 months and are one of the most powerful tools we offer, allowing participants to work through Celebrate Recovery’s 8 Principles and 12 Steps within a structured, Christ-centered group.
We don’t currently have any Step Study groups accepting new members, but we’re always looking to start new ones! Fill out the form below to be added to our waiting list, and we’ll be in touch when a new group begins.
