On Good Friday, we stand in the “only after” of John 12:16, recognizing that the betrayal, chains, and the nails are more than props of Jesus’ Passion —they’re reflective of the sins we also carry into the story. The love of Christ that was met with rejection is the same love that held Him to the cross…a love that ran red and declares, “It is finished.”
