What do you get when you combine the rules of baseball and large, wooden darts with colorful feathers? Dartball! The game itself has been around since 1923, but we're bringing it to The Well this spring! Could this be the perfect excuse to try something new and simply have fun doing it? Or will it be the start of a competitive team to join the local church Dartball league? Only time will tell...

Dartball

Dartball is a game that combines two sports–darts and baseball.

Batters throw wooden darts (with real feathers and metal tips) at a large board that resembles a baseball field, with colored areas representing bases. Where the dart lands on the board determines the outcome of each throw (a.k.a. “pitch”), and batters continue to throw darts until they are safe or out, just like in baseball. The game concludes at the end of nine innings, and the team with the most runs wins the game.

Also like baseball, Dartball can get pretty competitive, but there’s no need to worry if you’re not a professional player. In this 6-week Collective, we’ll teach you the basics of the game and help you hone your skills (or learn to laugh at your lack thereof!)
